The Daily Vinyl video #26: “Paint It, Black” by The Rolling Stones
Wanna play the drums? Join ‘The Dude’ in a jam session with The Rolling Stones. Who knew a turntable made such a good snare drum?

If you are going to a coffee shop where they roast their own beans, you’re gonna wanna bring your turntable and listen to any song you got about coffee. Fortunately, I love SQUEEZE and just happen to have all of their albums on vinyl.
“Black Coffee in Bed” was a minor U.S. hit in 1982 and is probably best remembered on their super-smash-hit best-of collection, “Singles 45 & Under.” And if you listen closely, you can hear Elvis Costello on the backing vocals. (Very clearly at the end… “No milk & sugar”).
Enjoy!
Love, The Dude
My daughter’s public elementary school is using the theme “Peace, Love & Understanding” for the school year with a specialized focus on The Beatles/Magical Mystery Tour.
The following is a playlist created with the school-year in mind.
