Hmmm. The Turtles - She'd Rather Be with Me (1967), I think.
But the last single was July 2010, it's a limited release
Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti - Round and Round
or hear it here -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiLqAu4s-_s
It's Chillwave sounding tune, yet reminisces the late seventies and early eighties. My opinion as a vinyl collector better grab this 45 off eBay. I
think the more hip vinyl collectors will find it hip.

the first single i bought was Brown Sugar by the stones,i had a fantastic singles collection, american imports, stuff like black dog by led zep on atlantic, loads of goodies, unfortunately they were all lifted at a party in the early 80s the full box!around 50,my first ever album was pink floyds dark side of the moon,it had the two post card stickers and two posters inside, but i must admit that one of the main reasons for buying it at the time was the exellent promotional campaign, the great graphic design of the cover combined with the imagery in the record shops sold it to me,it turned out the music was brilliant but i was only a kid and i had a few quid burning a hole in my pocket.

Great question that brings back memories...
it was a 45 and it was The J Giles Band - Angel In The Centerfold, with Freeze Frame on the flip side. Ah the early 80's.

Dude! I must say, you are doing a great thing with the Daily Vinyl...
keep up the great work!

Hi, you got a great web site, and a very original idea, I love it!
The first record that I remember to ask for it was Genesis "Invisible touch", and my first vinyl Kiss "Lick it up".
:)

I recall a garage sale at our "new" house. A customer found an old tricyle that had been left by the previous owner in the back of the garage and bought it for a few bucks. I claimed that money as mine (being about 6 yrs old) and proceeded to purchase the 45s that my two older brothers were selling. "Band On The Run" and "Jet" were definitely in that stack. (Which I later traded for a pack of gum. "The Dude" was not very smart as a child.) Possibly my first LP was KISS ALIVE for Christmas '77.
